Today at Thor's Trees our team of Tree Surgeons completed a hedge removal in Borehamwood.
Today at Thor’s Trees ‘Team Tree-Beaver’, also known as Tommy & Cameron, removed this Leylandii hedge in Borehamwood to make way for a new fence to be erected to the front of the property.
As you can see on in the first picture, the tree has previously been trimmed too hard, and sufficient growth wasn’t left, thus leading to the trees not being able to regenerate. We must be very careful when trimming/maintaining conifer trees. Once it’s trimmed back to brown it’s very rare they come back.
The best time of the year to prune coniferous trees is in the autumn and early winter. Cooler weather decreases metabolic activity yet, they have leaves all year round and continue to make food. Remember, pruning should always be done conservatively - Especially if you lack experience.
At Thor’s Trees we have the essential machinery for complete stump removal, leaving a blank canvas of space to landscape as you wish.
